In order to best support youth groups and young people during the current pandemic The Ponton House Trust has joined forces with Youth Scotland to provide funding to their Action Fund along with other Trusts including STV Children’s Appeal, The Robertson Trust and The Gannochy Trust.
Youth Scotland’s Action Fund has been established to help youth groups and youth workers meet the needs of young people in response to Coronavirus. The purpose of this fund is to enable youth groups to purchase essential items that will enable them to continue working with young people throughout this period of social distancing and restrictions.
It is a Micro Grant fund with the maximum amount available per application £500.
There are no deadlines and applications will be reviewed by Youth Scotland on an on-going basis with the intention to support youth groups in accessing funding as soon as possible.
For further details you should go to Youth Scotland’s website (www.youthscotland.org.uk) and follow the Covid-19 tab. Guidance notes and Application form are available to download from that site. All applications will be processed, assessed and determined by Youth Scotland in line with the stated criteria.
Please note that The Ponton House Trust is continuing to accept non Covid -19 applications which will be dealt with by the Trustees on the normal quarterly basis as per our existing arrangements.
However, any application that is considered to deal with or be a response to the Covid-19 and its consequences and meets Youth Scotland’s Action Fund criteria will currently not be considered on the basis that the application should be submitted directly to Youth Scotland’s Action Fund.
